We’ve been teasing this one for quite some time, so lets dive straight into it.
Accounts
SkyCrypt accounts? What? Isn’t that crazy?
We added an account system to SkyCrypt, you can login via your Discord account. Donators can now link their Patreon and choose and update their profile emoji’s anytime they want.
Developers can now start applying to use our API. We removed our public API a while ago and now we’ve brought it back. We will review applicants as soon as we finish the last remaining API stuff.
Regular users don’t benefit much from accounts as of right now, but having this system in place unlocks many possibilities for us that just were not possible before. We already have an internal roadmap of all the stuff we wanna add due to this.
MC-ID
MD-ID is a Minecraft account authentication system made by one of our developers. It is completely safe and doesn’t use Microsoft authentication in any way at all. You can find more info on how it works on MC-ID’s website: mc-id.com
It allows us to verify that you own said Minecraft account. Linking your Minecraft accounts is completely optional, but some features may require you to have your Minecraft account linked.
New Loading State
We redesigned the loading state when you’re loading someone’s page. No more generic “Loading…” pill. Unfortunately, due to the many performance improvements we added, you probably won’t see it often or for long enough.
Cupcake has been eaten
We’ve removed our beta website cupcake.shiiyu.moe due to it hurting our SEO score. But fear not, we’ve added a new toggle in settings that lets you switch to the beta version at any time.
Performance Improvements
We let our agents find and improve performance bottlenecks. Unlike many copies of us, we extensively review every change our agents write to ensure the code is up to our standards and most importantly, understandable.
You’ll find that SkyCrypt loads much faster now.
